On this Shabbat I want you to know that you are not alone.
After an intense political season leading up to Tuesday’s 2024 presidential and state elections, and the aftermath of the results, it has been a priviledge to be trusted with your many emotions, fears, questions, and hopes. This is a difficult time for our country and will be so for some time.
This is a time for connection. Reach out to each other. Reach out to me. Take care of yourself as you plan and hope and dream for a peaceful future.
Pease join us this Sunday, November 10th, at 4 p.m. for a special KHN community post-election event, "Processing the Election Results in Community" facilitated by KHN congregants Laura Marshall, Steve Clarke and Lynne Goldman.
The gathering will provide a safe space, regardless of political beliefs or affiliation, for sharing what is in our hearts. Using a specific practice of conscious, intentional and compassionate dialogue, we will have an opportunity to share our concerns, fears, hopes and needs.
The meeting will be on Zoom and will take approximately 1.5 hours. We hope you can join us. Please R.S.V.P. here for the link.
In addition to Sunday night's program, we have a few excellent programs also to note this weekend:
Friday, November 8th, at 7 p.m. Shabbat services
Saturday, November 9th, at 10 a.m. Contemplative Shabbat
Sunday, November 10th, at 11 a.m. Bagel U presents The Amazing Story of Curt Bloch
May we support and inspire one another to be agents of peace and justice for our communities, country, and world.
Blessed are You, Source of Life, Who helps us to bring Light where there is darkness, Healing where there is brokenness, and Peace to all of the earth's inhabitants. Kolot: The Center for Jewish Women's and Gender Studies
