Shul School

The Shul School at KHN serves children between the ages of 5 and 16 (K-10th grade). Our goals are to foster a love of Judaism, encourage an enthusiasm for learning, and instill a strong sense of community and individual identity.

We take pride in helping children feel at home in the Synagogue and become an integral part of our Shul community. Classroom learning is reinforced through Monthly Family Services where students take an active role, as well as  Family Education Days where parents join their children for intergenerational programming.

Our school year runs for 30 weeks from September through May. Classes meet as follows:

  •         Gan, Alef, Bet and Gimmel classes (Pre K/K through 3rd grade) meet every Sunday morning for two hours.
  •         Dalet through Vav (4th through 6th grades)  meet every Sunday morning for two hours and Wednesday evenings for an hour and a half.
  •         Zayin (7th grade) meets every Wednesday for an hour and a half.
  •         Chet and Tet classes (8th & 9th grades) meet twice a month on Sunday mornings for two hours.
  •         Confirmation class (10th grade) meets one a month on Sunday mornings for two hours.

Shul School enrollment begins in April and continues on a rolling basis until all classes are filled. If you are interested in enrolling your child(ren), please contact our Education Director, Stacey Frank at or 215-285-6049.
