Membership and Communications

Kehilat HaNahar, the Little Shul by the River, was created to provide Jews in the greater in the greater Bucks County PA and Mercer and Hunterdon Counties NJ areas with a permanent home where they can practice the principles of Judaism consistent with the Reconstructionist concept. We are a congregation that strives for diversity, inclusiveness, and participation.

We are committed to...

  • Practicing Judaism in a manner that is relevant to Jewish Americans living in the Delaware Valley
  • Building a multigenerational and diverse Jewish community
  • Creating in our synagogue and the surrounding Jewish community a means for affirming the ideals of our tradition in worship and in deed
  • Instructing young and old in our history and Torah

Kehilat HaHahar is a full service synagogue offering a wide range of programs and activities. Please join us for our:

  • Friday evening shabbat services
  • Monthly family services, typically the first Friday of the month
  • Holiday festival services
  • Vibrant shul school
  • Adult education programs
  • Social action, Mitzvot
  • Passover Community Seder, on the second night of Passover

The Membership and Communications Committee interacts with members and the broader community about KHN.  The committee welcomes and helps orient new members. oversees the KHN website, and issues press releases to promote KHN and its activities to our members and the wider community.
