Men's Club

Founded several years ago by foodie Alan Brown, the Men's Club meets one Sunday per month during the Shul School calendar year (September to May) from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Its primary purpose is to gather informally over breakfast to eat and schmooze.  Breakfast dates are posted on the Kehilat HaNahar calendar.

The Club usually gathers at the New Hope Star Diner (formerly Eagle Diner) on Route 202 near the Giant.

In addition to eating, the Men’s Club traditionally helps build the Sukkah, serves as ushers on the High Holidays, helps with the annual picnic, helps with spring clean-up, joins together to lead a Kabbalat Shabbat Friday night service, and generally has fun while helping out.

Sukkot - Simchat Torah

Sukkot - Simchat Torah

Sukkot, a time of joy and happiness, commemorates God's sheltering our ancestors as they wandered in the desert. The final days, Shemini Atzeret/Simchat Torah, are marked by dancing with the Torah and even more joy. Check out our Holiday Kit for activities to celebrate and share with your family.
