Our Staff

Kehilat HaNahar has a small team of dedicated employees, from our rabbi and education director to our rabbinic intern, office administrator, and bookkeeper.

Led by our Rabbi, Kehilat HaNahar hires only the best and brightest talent to deliver the highest quality service to our members. Our staff, which we consider "a family," is committed to excellence.  In addition to Rabbi Janine and Education Coordinator Anita Lerman, our professional staff includes a Rabbinic Intern;  Joe Lewin, Office Administrator; and Lina Avalone, Bookkeeper.
 

Joe Lewin has been the Office Administrator at Kehilat HaNahar since 2016. He earned a BA in English/Journalism at Trenton State College.  He currently lives in Lawrenceville with his wife, Karen, son, Charlie and cat, Wonder.  Having grown up in northern New Jersey he is a New York sports fan (Yankees, Giants) and is a huge Bruce Springsteen fan having attended over 110 shows.

Lina Avallone has been the bookkeeper at KHN for over 10 years and runs her own bookkeeping business.
